Drawbacks
Slow performance compared to Hostgator, Bluehost and InMotion
Customer service is not satisfactory
Poor user interface

We look for good quality even in small things like tea and vegetable.  Web is used to store our important data and information on the internet. So we have to look for good quality and customer support. As I have used all of the above hosting providers for my clients, I recommend Bluehost, Hostgator and  DreamHost if security and performance is your concern in the same way I recommend 1&1 hosting, iPage and Arvixe if your main concern is budget. Godaddy is not bad as security wise but  to store high volume of data and get maximum traffic you have to pay high. I request you to read terms and conditions very carefully before subscribing any packages as most of companies are saying unlimited disk space and bandwidth but there will be limitation in most cases.
Above list is based on my own experience and research on the internet. If you think some other companies are better for hosting purpose please mention on the comments.
